Range Rules


                           General Range Rules

*All firearms must be cased and/or holstered at all times.
*Firearms will only be loaded on the firing line and must be unloaded before leaving the firing line.
*Unsafe conduct will not be tolerated. Report all unsafe conduct. *Persons under 18 must be accompanied by parent/guardian while at the range.
*Eye and ear protection must be worn at all times while on the range. *Caps/hats must be worn on the shotgun range with eye and ear protection.
*Only one firearm in use per lane with no more than two persons per lane.
*Do not exchange weapons with another lane. Switch shooters not guns.
*Weapons should be pointed downrange and at backstop at all times. *Do not bring any loaded or jammed weapons off the firing line for any reason.   Lay the  weapon  pointed down range in the lane and notify range officer.
*CEASE FIRE: on this command, unload, open action, lay gun down and step back from the line.
*No one believed under the influence of alcohol or drugs allowed on the range.
*Be sure the gun is safe to operate.
*Use only the correct ammunition for your gun.
*Shoot only your targets.
*No one allowed down range.
*Shooting of any wildlife on range property is strictly prohibited.
*No foul language.
*No smoking inside the building.
*No speeding or littering allowed on Holloway Road.

              

                     
Archery Range Rules
*Do not enter the archery range without checking in first. 
*Prior to each shooting session, the Archer should carefully check bows and arrows to make sure both are in proper state of repair
*Field Tips only.  Absolutely NO BROADHEADS and/or mechanicals allowed on the range. 
*Firearms are not allowed on the archery range at any time. 
*Absolutely no sky drawing. Bows must be drawn down range towards the target. 
*Never shoot an arrow up in the air. 
*Hunting or shooting at any living creature is not allowed on the range or property at any time. 
*Before firing an arrow, be sure the area behind and around the target is clear of all living  
creatures and objects that could be endangered. 
*Wait until all arrows have been shot before going down range to pull your arrows. 
*Only one individual at a time should withdraw arrows from the target. 
*Always walk at the archery range. 
*If you observe any unsafe conditions, report them immediately.
